High Performance Aluminum Etchant

Benchmark AX-1849 is a blended powdered containing caustic, sequestrants, extenders, and builders which enables consistent aluminum etching at elevated concentrations of dissolved aluminum without having to dump or decant the etch bath.

Benchmark AX-1849 has been formulated to produce a consistent high quality etch without a build-up of scale and sludge. During the etching process a slight foam layer will be produced which helps eliminate fumes and caustic spray that is so often experienced with plain caustic etch baths.

High Performance Aluminum Etchant

Benchmark AX-1888 is a liquid additive used in conjunction with liquid or dry caustic soda, to etch aluminum.

Benchmark AS-1888 is formulated with high quality sequestrants and extenders which enables consistent aluminum etching at elevated concentrations of dissolved aluminum without having to dump or decant the etch bath.

Benchmark AX-1888 will produce a consistent high quality etch without the build-up of scale or sludge. AX-1888 will produce a foam blanket during the etching process which will eliminate fumes and caustic spray often experienced with plain caustic etch baths.

Benchmark AX-1888 will not leave behind dry-on-stains or cause run-off patterns on even the largest sheets of aluminum. It will also prevent boundry attack which may give the part a spangled appearance.
